This young lady, whom I have been mentoring, undoubtedly is gifted. She is shown working on a painting of a lighthouse in a storm she intended to give to an aunt who was battling cancer. I asked her if knowing that it was her best work to date made it more difficult to give away. She responded, "Knowing it is my best makes me more anxious to give it to her." She may be a better person than she is a painter, and that is saying something!
